Welcome to the Ignacio Cruz Early Childhood Center! As the Principal of Ignacio Cruz ECC, it is my privilege to lead a dedicated team of educators and support a vibrant community of learners, families, and staff.

Our Mission & Values

At Ignacio Cruz, our mission is to foster a safe, inclusive, and challenging learning environment where every student can achieve their full potential and develop the social emotional skills to solve problems, establish friendships, and follow daily routines. We are guided by core values that define our culture:

• Discovery Through Play: Children learn best when actively engaged with their environment. Play provides the foundation for critical thinking, problem-solving, and social development.
• Relationship Building & Social Emotional Growth: A safe, caring, and predictable setting gives children the confidence to express themselves, take intellectual risks, and build strong connections.
• Family Partnerships: Families are a child’s first and most influential teachers. Strong, respectful relationships between home and school create the best environment for early learning.

Our Approach to Learning

We believe that every child deserves an engaging education that prepares them for future success. Through student-centered academic activities, hands-on learning, and a supportive social-emotional framework, we empower our students to become critical thinkers, creative problem solvers, and compassionate citizens.

Partnering with Families

Education is a shared journey between the school and the home. We encourage active family involvement through our classroom activities, school events, and open communication. Your collaboration, trust, and support are essential to the success of our students.

Thank you for being an integral part of the Ignacio Cruz Early Childhood Center family. Together, we are building a bright future for our students!

Warmly,

Dr. Michelle Loconte
